Audit Intermediate and Seniors

The Role

As an Audit Intermediate or Senior within our boutique audit practice you will be responsible for:

  • various aspects of auditing, including providing strategic insights, risk assessments
  • making recommendations to help our clients enhance their internal controls, efficiency and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • managing and leading audit engagements
  • creating, developing and maintaining internal and external relationships
  • helping manage audit quality in this high growth audit market at an exciting stage for the firm

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years audit experience
  • Past experience with charitable organisations, together with NZ-IFRS reporting entities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • CA/CPA or working towards qualification
  • Attention to detail with a passion for mentoring and coaching
  • Must be able to work in New Zealand

Senior Accountant

We have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced senior Accountant to join our high performing BAS Team.  You will have a genuine desire to work with a broad range of clients.

What you will do:

  • Assist in preparing business advice and / or producing complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, trusts, and a range of individuals
  • Focus on building client relationships with confidence and technical knowledge
  • Client contact with a strong focus on business advisory
  • Work on projects, including developing business plans, KPI dashboards and management reporting
  • Liaise with IRD on client matters
  • Utilise your Excel skills and practical experience with cloud accounting products (eg Xero)
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge to ensure compliance with all statutory and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Mentoring and training junior team members

What we are looking for:

  • Accounting qualification, ideally CA (or working toward this)
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Self motivated and able to work autonomously
  • A real drive to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Experienced in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities
