What we’re experiencing is that our clients tend to fall into two groups. The first is where a business is great operationally and has capacity, but is struggling to drive business and bring in more clients to get to the next level. The second? Businesses who are great at attracting clients, but need some guidance with operations so perhaps tend to see a higher rate of customer churn. Both of these groups would benefit from a consistent and effective marketing strategy along with business planning and coaching.
We know that marketing helps build brand and authority, and it enables you to connect and resonate with your audience in a more personable way through telling the story of your business. Those businesses who have a strong operating system but lack a client base tend to be operationally inwards focused, and as a result, marketing can often get pushed to the backburner – or, perhaps it’s a lack of confidence in knowing what to do. As we emerge from the tail-end of the pandemic and the market evolves with it, we know that now is the time to be forging ahead with consistent marketing as we expect the economic landscape to change. So, how do we solve this issue?
Many businesses now are choosing to implement a marketing strategy through online marketing such as; email marketing, blogs, and having a social media presence. By sharing the story behind the business, you are offering relatable and insightful content that your audience can engage with – meanwhile building your company brand and presence – showing you are an expert in your field.
The other group comprises those businesses who have a strong client base but need assistance with operations. Putting a plan in place now for your business will help drive growth through uncertain periods at a time where many businesses are cutting costs and selling less of their service or product in attempt to prepare for potential uncertainty. In the long-term, ensuring you have a marketing and business strategy in place and maintaining this throughout uncertain periods will ensure your business meets supply and demand requirements and will help grow your customer base.
At PKF Kendons, our goal is to find solutions to client problems, and put you on the path to success. In our regular Business Coaching sessions, PKF Kendons advisors will work with clients in analysing numbers and identifying what current needs and goals are. This means we are then able to draft an accountability plan and arrange quarterly meetings to review progress made and reset goals.
